I have always had my own personal super hero in mind. He's gone through some changes, of course, as to his origin and powers, but I have always felt him inside me. I think everyone needs their own personal super hero, and Silverstreak? He's mine. But what is his origin?

In the beginning, the universe was created. However, this was not the first time this happened. Current theory states that if the universe doesn't have enough energy to keep expanding forever, it will begin to contract. This has happened three times, the third and most recent expansion giving rise to our current universe. But something strange happened this time- the universe became aware of its existence. Just as the cells of your body combine to make up "you", the planets and stars and dust of the universe combine to make up a life form as big as the universe itself. Because it is the universe itself. Being alive, the universe decided it needed a champion, to defend life in all its forms. Thus was Silverstreak created, the physical manifestation of the will of the universe. He seems extremely powerful, but that power comes from the complete understanding of all physical laws, and how to break them. He strives to protect all life and always gives those that threaten it a second change. But never a third.

My first programming experience was in high school with Hypercard and Pascal. In 2001 I... ahem... received the developer preview for Mac OS X and started working out how to write software for it. I'm still trying to this day. However, some of what I've done is at least usable, so I decided to release it. As I had this idea for Silverstreak kicking around in my head, I decided on Silverstreak Software. The third major rewrite of the site brings us to what you are reading now.
